What Is The Right Battery For A Power Wheels Car?

Where To Charge A Power Wheels Battery?

Use the battery charger in a wall surface outlet. 

Do not plug the battery charger into a ceiling outlet. 
Make sure all outlet switches are turned on. 

Where Is The Fuse On A Power Wheels?

New Power Power Wheels vehicles were designed with a built-in thermal fuse system to prevent the battery from overheating throughout use. 

Older models have a removable 25-amp fuse to safeguard the battery from damages throughout use or when re-charging.

Unplug the battery from the Power Wheels vehicle, take it out of the car and lay it on the ground with the top of the battery facing up. 
You should be able to see the fuse in the top of the battery.

Are Power Wheels Batteries Deep Cycle?

Yes, they are.

A deep cycle battery is a lead battery that's designed to offer sustained power over an extended period of time and run reliably up until about 80% of its power has been drained, once that happens you should recharge it. 

Power Wheels were created for full discharge and are therefore considered to be deep cycle. With proper care these batteries can last up to 3 years.  

How Long Should A Power Wheels Battery Charge?

You should charge a new battery a minimum of 18 hrs prior to first usage but never more than 24 hours. 

After each use the battery should be charged for at least 14 hours.

Never charge a battery for longer than 30 hours. 
Please note that over-charging or under-charging the battery can reduce battery life span and lower the vehicle running time.
